Penta HT Optics has good connections to several design houses for optical as well as mechanical design. For optical design eg. with with the former collegues of Philips Applied Technologies and VTT in Finland. This designers network guarantees the right designer capability for the job on hand. Because designing a viewfinder, mouse optics or a mobile telephone camera require a quite different skill set in terms of experience of the designer and tools used.
A related design task is the development of metrology concepts and the execution. From our experience in mass production we know that the measurement setup in one of the keys for success. Philips Applied Technologies, in cooperation with Philips High Tech Plastics have a long trackrecord there.
Mechanical design is done by the same people who do the mold design. This way we ensure that aspects from the molding, such as gate vestiges and parting line positions are chosen carefully in such way that there is no interference with the primary and secondary functions of the product.
